Since the Manipur riots came up, it has shaken the humanity. Not only the nation but the world is currently talking about the Manipur violence. With every passing day, new updates are coming from the ground reality but it seems like the concerned authorities probably failed in maintaining the law and order in the state. Now, recently, another update came up with shocking news. Reportedly, 2 students who were missing from July 6, were found dead, picture shows. Well, according to the reports, a series of pictures went viral on the internet. It is being said that the students in the photo are no one but those 2 who went missing on July 6. In both photos, you can see how they were first kidnapped by two armed civilians and later killed by them on the same spot. Also, in both before and after photos you will see those students wearing the same clothes, that claim the reality. In the first picture, you will see, two students sitting on a grassy floor of some forest. Meanwhile, two armed men can be seen in the background. On the other side, in the latest photo that is doing rounds on the internet, the same students were found dead.

Who Are The Students Killed In Manipur Violence

As per the reports, The students were identified as 17-year-old Hijam Linthoingambi and 20-year-old Phijam Hemjit. However, Manipur is burning currently, and daily number of people are losing their lives. The brawl between two communities has taken a very dangerous turn. From women naked pared in Manipur two killing cops and civilians, the state is witnessing its worst phase ever. After the pictures surfaced online, Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh assured people that quick and strong action would be taken against all those involved in the kidnapping and killing of the students.

Manipur Violence – CM Reaction

The CM Secretariat, in a tweet, spoke, “It has come to the notice of the state government that the photos of two students, Phijam Hemjit, 20, and Hijam Linthoingambi, 17, who have been missing since July 2023, have surfaced on social media.” Well, The case has already been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Also, in a statement, the concerned authority stated, “State police, in collaboration with the central security agencies, are actively investigating the case to determine the circumstances surrounding their disappearance and to identify the perpetrators who murdered the two students. The security forces have also started the search operation to nab the perpetrators”.

Manipur Violence Latest Update

Adding more to the statement, they also said “In response to this deplorable situation, the government ensures the people that swift and strong action will be taken against all those indulged in the kidnapping and killing of Phijam Hemjit and Hijam Linthoingambi. The government is committed to ensuring justice prevails and will impose severe punishment on any perpetrators found responsible for this heinous crime”. Later on, the govt also urged people to hold their horses and let the authorities do their job. No doubt the situation in the state does not seem to be under control.
