A piece of very heart wrenching incident happened in Bihar’s Buxar where a train’s 21 bogies north express derailed. So, according to the reports, a north east superfast train running from Delhi’s Anand Vihar Terminal in Buxar, Bihar to Kamakhya (Assam) via Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal met with a deadly accident on Wednesday night. A total of 21 bogies of the train derailed. Four passengers died in this accident, while 70 to 80 other people are said to be injured, reportedly. Well, it is not the first time when something like this big and shocking happened. But previously another shocking railway accident happened that caught much attention of the nation. Even if we talk about an average number of train accidents in India then, in the year 2022 a total of 34 train accidents happened, reportedly.

However, it is being said that only 4 people have been found dead, while more than 100 people are said to be injured heavily. The rescue teams have said that the number of dead people can increase because the accident was quite massive. Also, keeping an eye on the number of injured people, they are assuming more people to be found as dead. As soon as the information about the train accident was received, the families of the passengers traveling by train became impatient to get the update about their loved ones.

Keeping the current situation in the sight Indian Railways has issued some helpline numbers. And by calling on these numbers, you can get information about your loved ones as well as other types of information can be fetched. On the other hand, orders have been rolled out to investigate the derailment of North East Express. Railway Board has ordered a high level inquiry. The investigation will be done keeping all the points in mind.

Following the accident, the chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway, Virendra Kumar stated that train number 12506 North East Express, which was running from Anand Vihar Terminal of New Delhi to Kamakhya, met with a tragic accident at 9.35 pm on Wednesday night near Raghunathpur railway station of Danapur Railway Division. According to the reports, a total of 21 bogies have derailed. After receiving information about the incident, all the district level officials and doctors of Buxar district reached the spot. The Katihar Railway Division has also issued a helpline number regarding the accident of North East Express. The helpline number is connected to 10 stations from Katihar to Tinsukia.
