MS Dhoni arrives in Chennai before IPL- Gets heartwarming welcome from fans: 

CSK’s preparatory camp is expected to begin on Monday. MS Dhoni arrived in Chennai before the camp. The skipper was joined by his team members such as Ambati Rayudu and Piyush Chawla.

The ex – Indian Cricket Team Captain arrived at the team hotel on Sunday. Dhoni is supposed to begin training from Monday. The IPL 2020 will mark the return of Dhoni as a competitive cricketer.

Chennai Super Kings have got their captain back with them. The arrival of Dhoni marks the beginning of preparations for IPL 2020. The Indian Premier League 2020 also marks the return of Dhoni to competitive cricket after a gap of 8 months.

The Chennai Super Kings team posted a photo of MS Dhoni in the Chennai airport. The 3-time winning team also posted a video featuring Dhoni reaching the team hotel from the airport. 

Dhoni can be seen surrounded by fans who are quite eager for a photograph with the World Cup-winning former India Captain which is quite expected. CSK team manager Russell Radhakrishnan accompanied Dhoni as he made way into the hotel.

MS Dhoni received a hero’s welcome on his return to the city that loves and cherishes him. A yellow flower bouquet was handed out to him.

Leg – spinner Piyush Chawla was bought at the IPL 2020 auction for Rs 6.75 crore also arrived in Chennai.

Piyush Chawla was also accompanied by Ambati Rayudu and Karn Sharma. 

Dhoni is supposed to begin training from March 2 along with his CSK teammates. 

Dhoni has not played competitive cricket since his exit in July last year after India’s World Cup 2019.

The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and India’s head coach Ravi Shastri, Dhoni’s international future depends on his IPL 2020 performances. This will be a lead up to T20 World Cup in Australia this year.

CSK CEO K S Viswanathan said that Dhoni will play with cricketers who are available. This is because the full preparatory camp will begin on 19th March 2020.

Dhoni is expected to practice with the likes of Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu among others. According to the Press Trust of India report, Dhoni would then take a break before returning.

Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu have been training for the past three weeks. 

The first match of the IPl 2020 is scheduled for March 29. The teams will be CSK and defending champions Mumbai Indians.
