In a recent press release where Rohit Sharma was asked the same question about Mahi’s retirement plan, he replied that he feels Mahi is all fit and can play more seasons ahead. In his statement, he told “I’ve been hearing the same news for the last 2-3 years, that this is going to be MS Dhoni’s last season. Well, I think he is fit enough to play a few more seasons,” He told in MI’s pre-season press conference. Also, Rajasthan Royals’ Riyan Parag stated that Mahendra Singh Dhoni has mastered the role of a finisher, and nobody comes anywhere close to the former India captain.

Riyan Parad will be playing his 5th IPL of his career and the 21-year-old from Guwahati told that he is happily donning the role of a finisher, if given a choice, he would like to bat at No. 4 in the tournament. Well, his excitement and respect towards Mahi can be seen through the words that he spoke at the conference. He told “If they (Royals) were to ask me where I want to bat, I would definitely say No. 4. But, then, like always, I am open to bat wherever the team needs me and wherever they think I fit the best.
