Details on JNU Mob attack

Violence hits the Delhi’s prominent Jawaharlal Nehru University this evening as a group of masked goons entered the campus and went on a rampage. However, they targeted students and teachers and also have destroyed property.

Several students have been wounded, not only this the president of Students’ Union also got injured.

In the evening, the JNU professors had summoned the police. The JNUSU have alleged the complicity of Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad or ABVP, or the student body of BJP, in the attack.

JNU attack on student: People witnessed

The people who witnessed the situation told that the goons entered the campus around 6.30 pm. And they were inside the campus till 9 pm. Also, JNUSU tweeted that the administration was trying to protect the students that were being beaten up.

Saket Moon, the vice-president of the students’ union, claimed the mob was going from room to room “indiscriminately attacking students and the security wasn’t able to do anything,” he said.

“The mob did stone-pelting and entered into hostels,” told Atul Sood. “Those stones that were being thrown were huge. After that, I fell on the side and when I came out. Also, I saw cars being destroyed, including my car.”

Injured Aishe Ghosh, the president of Students’ Union was taken to AIIMS. “I have been beaten black and blue by goons wearing masks.

The ABVP said their members were students belonging to leftist students organizations SFI, AISA and DSF, “Around 25 students have been injured badly in the attack. Many ABVP members were beaten up in hostels by the leftist’s goons.

Activist Yogendra Yadav was manhandled outside the university. “This is an attack that happened right under the nose of Delhi police..this was an attack on the university,” he told. He also stated that the information that the police had been given all along at the entrance of the university. He also posted-

Also, Rahul Gandhi has condemned the attack at JNU. “The fascists in control of our country, are afraid of the voices of our students. Violence in JNU is a reflection for that fear,” he tweeted.
