Very shocking news started surfacing on the internet where it came to know that a bunch of people pelted stones on the newly launched Vande Bharat Express train in West Bengal’s Malda on Monday. As you all know that PM recently launched the train back in December 2022, and it was the first journey of Vande Bharat to West Bengal. As per the latest reports, stones were pelted worst on the train as window panes of the Howrah-bound Vande Bharat Express were wrecked. Undoubtedly, it is one of the shameful acts that happened and the scene came to view on Monday after some anti-social aspects threw stones at the newly-launched train near Malda’s Kumarganj station in West Bengal.

However, this time the incident happened in West Bengal where people pelted stones at the newly-launched Vande Bharat but recently a lot of students burnt trains and buses (Govt Assets), when the Agni-Veer scheme was introduced.

The shocking incident occurred after 4 days when Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off India’s 7th Vande Bharat Express from Howrah en route to New Jalpaiguri Junction. Talking about the connectivity of this route so the newly launched Vande-Bharat in West Bengal connects South Bengal to North Bengal, and at the time of this train’s launch CM Mamta Banerjee was present at the spot. It was the first official commercial run of the train when the incident happened.

As soon as the news got the limelight it created a buzz where the Eastern Railways said, “On 02.01.23 around 17.50 hrs, information received from on duty T.E party of T.N.22302 Vande Bharat Exp. was pelted with stones in coach no. C13 after crossing Kumarganj station under IPF Samsi. After which, the door glass got cracked. The train escort had 01 ASI along with 04 staff with Arms and Ammn.of RPF POST D-Shed MLDT”.
Now, the latest reports have stated that an investigation team has been called to investigate the matter and they are trying their best to find out wrongdoers.
