The latest Airbus firm order comprises 210 A320/321 Neo/XLR and 40 A350-900/1000. The Boeing firm order comprises 190 737-Max, 20 787s, and 10 777s. While, the Air career has made happy thousands of people, the other side, pilots of Air India have raised their apprehensions about the airline’s latest decision to revamp their pay structure and service terms as well.

Air India Mega Drive

However, Air India on 17th April 2023 rolled out a revamped compensation structure for all employees such as pilots and the cabin crew, but it got rejected right before it was likely to be implemented. Actually, the two pilot unions – Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) and Indian Pilots Guild (IPG) denied accepting or approving the compensation structure saying that the company did not consult them before rolling it out which also indicates the violation of the labor practices.

ICPA & IPG also urged their members not to sign or accept the updated contract and salary structure. In a petition, the pilots claimed that their morale is low and they are not being feted with “respect and dignity” by the currently present management and this could put a negative impact on their ability to perform duties. Well, let’s see how this new drive is going to impact the business of airlines. Stay tuned with us to get more updates on all trending news across the nation.
