Nearly 100 people have been quarantined at the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex. This is after a sanitation worker there tested positive for the Coronavirus.
The person was tested positive about four days ago.
The secretary-level officials and their families have been asked to be under home quarantine. Meanwhile, the workers were taken to a quarantine facility in central Delhi.
Apart from the sanitation workers, all other people have been tested negative.
Coronavirus cases in India have crossed the 18,000 mark this morning. This is after 18601 cases have been registered in total which include 590 deaths. The country has recorded its biggest jump in the number of deaths in a day. According to reports, 47 patients died in the last 24 hours.
Delhi has the second-highest numbers in the country with over 2000 cases, after Maharashtra.
