BJP working president JP Nadda, who was considered as the next BJP president, officially took the reins of the party from Shah.

Top leaders of the party, including Union ministers and Chief Ministers, made their presence felt at the ceremony.
Veteran BJP leader Radha Mohan Singh, who is in charge of the organizational election process. Also, announced the schedule after the party’s internal poll exercise got over in 21 of 36 state and Union Territory units.
Singh in a statement had said,” After successfully conducting Phase 1 of enrollment drive of the party, creating 75% booth committees, 50% Mandal committees and conducting elections without violating any section of the Constitution”.
Nadda’s name was proposed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari the former head honchos of the party.
In 2019 General elections, Nadda was in charge of BJP’s election campaign in Uttar Pradesh. That time, BJP had faced stiff competition with the alliance of SP-BSP. However, the party managed to win 62 out of 80 seats.
Having risen to the saffron ranks, Nadda has been the member of BJP Parliamentary board. In fact, its highest decision-making body. He also served as minister in 2014.
