India got caught in the crossfire between the United States and Iran. As President Donald Trump claimed that Iranian General Qasem Soleimani was responsible for a series of terror attacks that in Delhi.
Assassination of Soleimani
In a statement, Mr Trump justified the assassination of Soleimani in a missile attack on Iran’s international airport. He said, chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards’ Corps(IRGC) or “Quds Force” was involved in terrorist attacks.
Iran’s Ambassador to India Ali Chegeni denied the allegations. Also, told that Trump is talking rubbish and none of what he said is true. General Soleimani was a soldier. “He did not contribute to committing atrocities at innocent people anywhere,” said Mr Chegeni.
Mr Trump is referring to the car bombing of an Israeli diplomat in Delhi in 2012. The diplomat, who was also the spouse of the Israeli defence attache’, was injured in the attack. Also, three other people were injured. At that time, the Delhi’s Police force special cell that investigated the case. Thereafter, they believed it was connected with attacks on Israeli diplomats in Tbilisi, Georgia. As well as Bangkok, Thailand and was reportedly executed IRGC agents.
Mr Chegeni said that by raising the matter, he was trying to cover America’s action in assassinating the Iranian official. In fact, he was visiting Iraq after going to Syria for anti-terrorist consultations.”
Who is Soleimani?
Gen. Soleimani was the one who fought against ISIS, Jubhat al Nusra, and Al Qaeda. He was invited to Syria and Iraq by their governments. In order to advice and support to combat these terrorist organizations.
