The film is about Aisha Chaudhary who is a motivational speaker and an author and the entire Chaudhary family. In the film, the story is narrated by Aisha who has already passed away. Through her narration, we get to witness Aditi and Niren’s journey spanning 25 years. The film is a love story in which challenges faced by Moose and Panda- the names that Aisha used to address her parents form the crux of the story.

Story:

Aisha Chaudhary is ill. She was born with a genetic immune disorder that leads to their first child’s, Tanya’s death. Bone marrow could have saved her but they opted to go for chemotherapy. She was suffering from pulmonary fibrosis which leads to the tearing of her lungs and eventually her death.

Inspite of knowing that they won’t be able to save her. They did everything to save her. In the beginning of the film, Aisha has already passed away. She is narrating her story posthumously, about how her parents met, fell in love, got separated and finally met again.

Review:

The story is woven with sheer perfection. Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar have done fabulous jobs and so have their on-screen children- Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf. Priyanka Chopra is headstrong, gutsy and fiercely protective to her child. Niren who is head over heels in love with Aditi is totally opposite of Aditi. He is not very expressive and talks with his eyes. It is clearly seen that his eyes are filled with pain. Zaira’s portrayal as Aisha is honest and manages to tug at people’s heartstrings. Rohit has done a commendable job as Ishaan.

The direction by Shonali Bose is worth appreciating. She is incredible. Songs have been beautifully written by Gulzar. The screenplay is also very good.

The Film is a perfect comeback for Priyanka Chopra in Bollywood and perfect end for Zaira’s career. The film is worth watching. Go to theatres nearby you to witness the journey filled with love, humour and heartbreak.
