Review

The only reason to watch the third instalment of Dabangg is to witness Salman Khan’s ‘chulbulahat’ left in him, the only thing that the first two films of the franchise worth watching.

But this one, that has a backstory of Chulbul Pandey is a dreary mishmash of the previous films. The movie throws light into past of Chulbul Pandey when he falls in love with the character portrayed by Saiee Manjrekar. The girls have nothing to do except smiling and simpering. The only good part of her character is her ambition for further studies.

The villainous character of the film Balli Singh, portrayed by Kiccha Sudeepa runs a brothel, sells liquor and does all illegal things.

Talking about another lead in the film is Sonakshi Sinha who portrays the role of Chulbul Pandey’s wife, Rajjo. Sonakshi does justice to the role given to her. She looks stunning throughout the film.

The man who stole all the limelight was Salman Khan, he does the same thing that he did in previous films but still somehow manages to impress the audience.

Another man who did a commendable job was Kiccha Sudeepa who played the role of Balli Singh, the man who kills Saiee’s character in the film. The man who is at loggerheads with Chulbul Pandey in the film.

Talking about the music of the film, the songs have cringeworthy and sexist lyrics and do not even stand close to ‘Tere Mast Mast Do Nain’ and ‘Dagabaaz Re’, the hit songs from previous films.

The story of the film is sluggish and sloppy. The film seems to be dragged in the second half.

Overall, the movie is one- time watch. If you are a die-hard fan of Salman Khan, go to theatres to watch the film.
