Bala Review

Ayushmann Khurrana portrays the role of Bala with utmost conviction. He knows the nuances of the performance required to portray such a character. Inspite of being a prematurely bald person, he is confident and has an infectious personality.

Yami Gautam portrays the role of small town tiktok sensation with panache. Bhumi Pednekar who portrays the role of dark skinned woman is brilliant, she hits the ball out of the park with her performance. She is the epitome of feminism as she doesn’t compromise on her ideologies and principles.

The supporting cast of the film Seema Pahwa, Manoj Pahwa, Javed Jaffery, Saurabh Shukla, Abhishek Banerjee also manage to make their presence felt. They have played their parts with utmost conviction and sincerity.

The film inspite of being made to spread a message, manages to make the audience laugh. The film despite of its sensitive topic doesn’t harm anyone’s sentiments. The writing by Niren Bhatt is sharp, crisp and beautiful.

The portrayal of the female leads is different from that in most of the Bollywood films. Here, they don’t compromise and sacrifice anything for their male counterparts. The film spreads a message that both genders should be treated equally.

Talking about the music of the film, there are five songs that fit perfectly in the story except the last one.

Bala is a brilliant film as manages to keep the audience entertained. It also touches a sensitive topic without offending people. It is an out an out Bollywood entertainer. So book your tickets now for Bala, and go and watch the movie in the theaters near you.
